Mike, Ben and Steven are back for day two of the UK Games Expo. Today the guys spent a lot of time in the Play-test area trying out new ideas. Mike and Ben spent some time with Tomas from Free League and their recently announced board game version of Crusader Kings.

A guilty pleasure for all the wrong reasons, The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is tame when it needed to be daring. If your not already a fan, or if you’ve played the first Witch and the Hundred Knight, then you might want to look elsewhere.
I could rant about Northgard pretty much all day and maybe someday I will. But suffice to say it’s a pretty outstanding RTS with some smart and unique ideas.
Terroir may just be the finest bottle of plonk you’ll get for £10. A wonderful combination of simplistic art and melancholic soundtrack will have you tending to your vines for many, many years.

Pure Farming 2018 does a few things well. But it falls short in so many areas compared to the competition. Dull gameplay to match dull graphics result in a game that you should probably give a miss.
Fans of simplistic combat games like One Finger Death Punch can do better. Rhythm gamers will be instantly turned off by calibration issues and the lazy, generic music. TRRT is still in Early Access, but fixes need to be put in place to save this game.
Maize isn’t just good it’s a-maize-ing, packing plenty of humour into an incredibly paced game. Even if it is a little on the short side.
